Letter from the PTO President:
I'd like to welcome our new Moog School families and our returning families. Our PTO has a full year of parties, get-togethers, and fundraisers planned for the 2008-2009 school year. Some of the most memorable times our Moog familes share are during the wonderful events we hold throughout the year. Together we make friends and memories while planning, setting-up, and having fun. The input and participation of everyone make the Moog School PTO events successful for the school and our children. I hope that everyone will participate in the many great activies we have planned and I look forward to another great year!
Research shows that a child's success is determined by the participation of their parents in different school activities in many different ways. It can lead to higher grades, better behavior, improved education, and an increase of confidence in your child. This is why I encourage parent involvement in the PTO, whether it is something done behind the scenes or in the middle of an activity.
It is the The Moog Center PTO's mission to fund and support the school aged children, the school, teachers, and parents. We provide educational materials such as classroom furniture, books, computer software and other classroom materials. We also sponsor activities for our families to come together for social events and to provide the emotional, physical, and mental support necessary for parents to meet their child's needs.
One goal for this school year is to be here for YOU because our success begins with YOU! I want to promote communication and understanding among us all. Another goal of mine is to bring everyone together. In order for me to do this I need your help. Throughout the year, I will be asking for not only your opinions and thoughts but for volunteers for our many activites. Therefore, if you ever have a question or thoughts about anything or would like to volunteer your time please contact me. I look forward to working with you all!
